De plaatsing van de NVS staat nog steeds gepland voor overmorgen. Na overleg van de arts hier met de neurochirurg daar is er geen bezwaar tegen, maar dat is ook afhankelijk van wat zijn bloeduitslagen zijn. Lennard toch maar voorzichtig voorbereiden op wat er komen gaat.

De artsen zijn net geweest: er wordt straks bloed geprikt om te kijken hoe het met de ontstekingswaarden is in zijn bloed en afhankelijk daarvan wordt de beslissing genomen of de operatie doorgaat. En mocht de operatie doorgaan dan is Lennard ook goed genoeg om weer naar huis te gaan...afwachten maar.

Sinds gister is hij ook van de zuurstof af, maar lag nog wel aan de saturatiemeter. Vandaag is hij erg levendig. Hij heeft ook al vanaf de box naar de speelkamer gelopen. Op dit moment is hij bezig aan zijn 2e bord macaroni!! Ben benieuwd of hij straks de energie vindt om te rusten....

The op to place the VNS still stands for day after tomorrow. After consultation between the doctors here with the doctor in Nijmegen they've decided that there's no objection to the operation.If the op does go through depends on the results of his bloodtests. We're gonna prepare Lennard slowly for the op.

The doctors have just been to see Lennard: there will be some blood taken and once the results are in we'll know for sure if the op is going to take place friday. For if they think Lennard's good enough to have the op he's also good enough to go home!!

Since yesterday he's also without oxygen, but was still on the pulse oximeter.  Today he's very lively and also walked from his room to the playroom and back! At this moment he's eating a second helping of macaroni...wonder if he'll find the patience to take a nap...
